DIVINE VISUAL ALCHEMY
This experience is designed as a visual journey, evocative of lucid dreaming where reality and divine etheric realms merge. Starry Venus weaves shamanic, Earth-connected visuals that unfold alongside the music, blending organic and synthetic elements. Through immersive live performances, you'll enter a space where music, visuals, and performance harmonize, offering soul medicine to awaken and transform. It’s a sensory, tantric journey, no plant medicine needed, just you, fully present.
Along with the visual expressions, dance remixes will be released for each song, in collaboration with other artists. Listen deep on the dance floor, open the door and become expanded Starlight.
THE ART OF CREATING THE MUSIC
I started with a framework of songs that existed in pieces, and I was confident in those. I didn't overthink how to present the work or come in with a linear agenda. I came in with a feeling connected to each song. Through that feeling, I went into the moment to discover what would happen.
As a multi-instrumentalist, I explore the provocative creation that occurs by blending the organic and synthetic through synthesizers, handpans, piano and vocals. Many sounds on the album come from live performance on the digital handpan.
Everything about how I produced this music was by embodying the moment. I went into a deep state of channeling and trust so I could record the tracks with no parameters, there was no right or wrong or good or bad. I let all judgement go during the process of creating these songs, so they could exist in their most pure form.
It’s what I call a liberated creation field. Just let it go, same as we are often asked to do in our life. It doesn't limit you if you don't let it limit you. Easier said than done; however it’s magic when you allow this state to become a place of creation.
It’s a step beyond what I would say medicine music is, or specific types of songwriting. I am as immersed in the process of healing fractured aspects of spirit (personal and collective) as I am interested in creating the song itself. There could be ten different intentions and layers going on, all devoted to one thing. The music is created that way, recorded and produced with this harmonic connection, which is ultimately a spiritual experience and embodiment.
It’s the foundation of how I work as a musician, artist and producer. It’s a spiritual process taking place, a responsibility to find the most activated way to communicate a feeling, giving a structure while expanding into something new, unknown and ideally, magical.
